Just the mount

Here's a photo of the mount on it's own. Thanks again to Chuck Faddis and the machine shop at Prototek.

90 degree camera mount is built!

Thanks to Chuck Faddis for another technical challenge overcome! We built an aluminum mount that fits on the tripod, allowing our cameras to be mounted 90 degrees to the right (clockwise) from their normal mounted position. We are experimenting with the idea of a partial "vertical aspect ratio"-16:9 turned on end  and appropriately letterboxed- film. More to come. Note my cat in the background.

Update - planning for shoot

Things are moving right along...

1. We are applying for filming permits in the following parks:

Redwoods National and State (Del Norte Coast, Jedediah Smith and Prairie Creek)

Sequoia National

Humboldt Redwoods

2. For those living in the Seattle area, there will be a benefit at the Northwest Film Forum soon. We still have to raise over $1000 to reach budget for the upcoming shoot.

3. John will be managing sound.

4. Jessica will be shooting still photographs, as planned.

5. We are crafting an accessory part for the tripod so we can take a special kind of shot.
